Professional training program for LAEK Employees 1-49

Any type of training program for employees in small businesses up to 50 people can be financed by the OAED, specifically the LAEK Account. IKA-insured workers in small businesses can be trained in these programs and are submitted by bodies representing employers and employees.

What is the LAEK 1-49 program?

The LAEK 1-49 programs are employee training subsidy programs in small businesses of up to 50 people and are submitted by employer and employee representative bodies in collaboration with certified KEK.

Who is entitled to it?
In the context of this program, beneficiaries of submission and implementation are:
the Employers' Representative Bodies designated by their statutes, whose appointments are conducted in the presence of a judicial representative. For bodies which by law have conducted the last elections without the presence of a judicial representative, affidavits are required before a Justice of the Peace of all the members of the electoral committee that will certify the number of voting members of the body as well as that the voting was conducted in accordance with the provisions of statute and the law. The scientific associations whose member companies employ from 1-49 people and are not covered by the above paragraph.
Beneficiary organizations must include in their proposals only employees of businesses in the sector they represent. Employees (independent) are also allowed to participate in the above training program:

  • whose employers are not covered by employers' representative bodies or
  • their occupation does not allow them to have a permanent employer provided that the LAEK employer contribution (0.24%) is paid for them.

Financial benefits of beneficiaries (Employers' Representation bodies, scientific associations, labor centers and unions). Net profit for the operator = €3/hour/trained = 3 X 40 X 25 = €3,000.

Economic benefits of labor centers.
In the event that the training program is implemented in collaboration with an employee organization, this organization is entitled to a fee of €1.5/hour/trainee = 1.5 X 40 X 25 = €1,500.

Training and upskilling of small business personnel.

Upgrading employee morale for the training offer as well as the financial benefits (€5/hour).

  • Certificate of Attendance from the certified KEK KEPETH.
  • Financial benefits for the trainee = €5/hour = €200 for a 40-hour training program.
