"Strengthening Tourism Media Enterprises for their modernization and the quality upgrade of the services provided"
The main objective of the action is to strengthen the investment plans of existing very small, small and medium-sized tourism businesses of all sectors for the modernization of their infrastructure and operation, their quality upgrade and the enrichment, upgrading and certification of the products and services offered , in order to improve their position in the domestic and international tourism market.
Target Audience
Eligible for this action are businesses set up by 31 December 2015 that have held a KAD eligible for the programme (Annex II) since then and employ on average at least half (0.5) an AWU of salaried work. Please note that: – the business does not have to hold the investment KAD when submitting the funding application, but must hold it before the first disbursement -the investment KAD must be complementary to the business's KAD. For other tourism businesses, KADs 55.1, 55.2, 55.3 are not considered complementary

Terms and conditions
For the purposes of this Program, businesses are categorized as follows:
Existing businesses: businesses that have two (2) or more full management uses. In businesses with three or more uses, the business is required to employ on average in the three years 2013-2015 at least half (0.5) of salaried workers. In businesses with two uses, it is required, by analogy, that the business employs on average in the two years 2014-2015 at least half (0.5) of salaried labor.
New businesses: the companies that were established until 31/12/2015, employ at least half (0.5) of salaried employees and do not fall into the above category of existing ones. It is noted that in the case of businesses operating in KAD 55 or detailed thereof, the investment plan may result in an increase in the capacity of existing accommodation and not the creation of a new one.
They are not eligible to apply for funding:
- public enterprises, public bodies or public organizations and/or their subsidiaries, as well as enterprises assimilated to them.
- the companies that are part of an already organized uniform network of product distribution or service provision and which exploit, following relevant contracts, licenses to exploit intellectual property rights, which usually concern trademarks or distinctive titles and know-how for the use and distribution of goods or services (e.g. . franchising, Shop in shop, agency network etc).
What is funded
The subsidized budget of each investment project of a potential aid beneficiary cannot exceed the total turnover of the year 2015 or the amount of one hundred and fifty thousand euros (€150,000), if the turnover is greater than €150,000 and cannot be lower than fifteen thousand euros (€15,000).

- Market studies / surveys. €5,000 and up to €2,500/study
- Salary cost of employees up to €24,000 as follows: €12,000.00 per EME (existing and/or new) and up to two EMEs

The official call for the Programme “Support for Tourism SMEs to modernise and upgrade the quality of their services” has been issued under the Operational Programme Competitiveness – Entrepreneurship – Innovation (EPAnEK) of NSRF (ESPA) 2014-2020.
The program, according to the Pre-Publication, will support existing (established by 31/12/2013) very small, small and medium-sized enterprises that are active exclusively in Tourism, a strategic priority sector of EPANEK, and have been employing an average of the last three years at least one (1) EME of salaried work. The investment proposals can have a budget of investment amount (subsidized per person) from €15,000 to €150,000, while the maximum aid percentage is set at 40% with the possibility of an increase of 10 units in the case of hiring new staff and only after certification of the achievement of this target.
