Accessibility Statement

The KEK KEPETH is committed to making the website kepeth.gr accessible to everyone, in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. This statement applies to the kepeth.gr website and all its subpages.

Compliance status

The website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA, due to the non-compliances listed below. “Partially compliant” means that most criteria are met, but some areas — mainly older content and third-party elements — are still being fixed.

Non-accessible content

  1. Embedded Google map. The Contact page contains a third-party map (Google Maps) whose internal controls do not fully meet contrast requirements. This content is not under our control. The KEK's address is also provided as text.
  2. Older content (posts published before 2022). Some older posts and programme information sheets contain text formatting and images that do not meet all criteria. This content is being corrected gradually.
  3. Third-party documents (PDF). Calls for applications and forms from other bodies that we republish may not be fully accessible. We provide their main content in text form on request.

We do not use accessibility overlay software (a so-called “accessibility overlay”). Fixes are made in the website's own code and structure, so that they work with the assistive tools each visitor already uses.

What has been implemented

  • Colour contrast checked and corrected across the entire website — all text meets or exceeds the required ratio of 4.5:1.
  • Alternative text (alt) for content images.
  • Semantic heading structure and landmarks on every page, with a skip link to the main content.
  • Full keyboard navigation and a visible focus indicator.
  • Forms with field labels and clear error messages.
  • Page language declared, and text that scales up to 200% without loss of content.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 22 September 2026, through a self-assessment by the organisation, combining: automated testing of all pages with the axe-core tool (WCAG 2.1 A and AA criteria), testing with WebAIM's WAVE tool on a representative sample of pages, and manual testing of keyboard navigation and 200% zoom. The statement is reviewed whenever the website changes substantially and at least once a year.
