THESSALIA INFORMATION AND TRAINING RESEARCH CENTER with the distinctive title KEK KEPETH is a Certified Thematic KEK of Regional Scope and was founded in 1991. KEK KEPETH is certified by the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (formerly E.K.Pis) with a Special Code Number: 12101240. The Director of Training at KEK KEPETH is George A. Spathis from 1991 until today.

The main purpose of KEK KEPETH is to contribute through its activities (training, studies, research) to the development of the wider region. The objectives in the realization of the purpose are:
• The continuous improvement of all human resources through training actions.
• The provision of training, counseling and career guidance services to the unemployed and their connection with the business world.
• The provision of training and consulting services to employees, the self-employed and entrepreneurs, as well as the monitoring and assistance of their progress.
• The promotion of the entrepreneurial spirit of self-employment and the creation of innovative and sustainable SMEs.
• The contribution to the creation of institutions and the assimilation of new concepts in a state of equal opportunities.

The KEK has a central structure in the Region of Thessaly and specifically in the Prefecture of Magnesia. The structure includes one certified classroom (capacity: 25 trainees) and five certified IT rooms (capacity: 25 trainees – 25 computers). Total Capacity: 150. All six training rooms have appropriate and modern supervisory equipment (trainer's electronic computer connected to a network - INTERNET, video - projector, transparenoscope, TV - Video, etc.)
In addition to the halls, the KEK has other and auxiliary spaces (Administration area, secretariat, SYS area, reading room, internet and self-education area, break areas, WC for men and women, WC for the disabled, etc.)
All areas of the Structure are accessible to people with special needs.
All computers are networked with Internet access. In addition to these, modern peripherals support operation and computerization.
All the procedures of KEK are computerized and supported by the necessary software.
