Harmonization with Legislation

Based on the General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data passed by the European Parliament on April 16, 2016, businesses that will manage personal data have until May 25, 2018 to fully adapt. The developments are immediate and demanding, as the readiness of the executives who will assume the role of Data Protection Officer / DPO (Data Protection Officer) is required.

The professional role of the Data Protection Officer / DPO (Data Protection Officer).

The Personal Data Protection Officer is responsible for the guidance - supervision and monitoring of the compliance of those in charge of the processing, as well as those performing it, with the Regulation and all relevant regulatory requirements and is the point of official communication of the organization with the supervisory authority ( APDPX – www.dpa.gr), as well as with every subject subject to personal data processing by the organization. Also, he is responsible for informing and training the company on the requirements of the Regulation, for providing advice, for the impact assessment (DPIA) as well as for maintaining the log files.

The aim of the seminar is to prepare tomorrow's Data Protection Officers to fulfill their professional role and comply with the requirements of the Regulation. The separate objectives refer to information, supervision, guidance of the data controllers and those performing it, as well as the application methodology in the company.
