Entrepreneurship Support Programme for Unemployed People Aged 30-59, with an Emphasis on Women

A new entrepreneurship support programme has been announced, designed to promote self-employment and the creation of new businesses by unemployed people aged 30-59, with a particular emphasis on unemployed women. The programme, funded by NSRF (ESPA), offers a €17,000 grant and covers the whole of Greece.

Programme objectives:

• Promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship.
• Supporting 5,880 unemployed people through implementation cycles.
• Strengthening entrepreneurship with an emphasis on women.

Submission period: Applications are accepted from 19 December 2024 to 21 January 2025 through the Integrated State Aid Information System (OPSKE).

Eligibility requirements:

• Unemployed people registered in the digital register of DYPA (Public Employment Service, formerly OAED).
• Aged 30-59 when applying.
• Business activity within Greece.

Funding: The grant is paid in three instalments:

1. €4,600 after starting the business activity.
2. €6,200 after the first six months.
3. €6,200 after the second six months.
