Doing Business Abroad – Supporting the International Promotion of Export-Oriented SMEs
The scheme aims to promote the international outreach of Greek manufacturing businesses that already export, through their participation in trade fairs held in the EU and in third countries.
Target Audience
Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises which, before the date of electronic submission of the funding application:
- have closed at least one (1) twelve-month financial year
- have eligible activity codes (KAD) relating to the products they wish to promote through their participation in trade fairs
- already produce/process these products
- already export, with at least 2% of their annual turnover coming from exports of the products they produce/process.
Submission period
from 18 January 2018 until the budget is exhausted
The call will remain open for applications until the available budget is exhausted and, at the latest, until 18 months have passed since its initial publication.
Funded Budget for Trade Fair Participation Plans
Each business may apply for funding for a budget of up to €100,000.
The public grant amounts to 50%.
The budget per trade fair is as follows:
- Up to €20,000 per fair for participation with a stand of up to 20 m², with a maximum public grant of €10,000
- Up to €35,000 per fair for participation with a stand of up to 50 m², with a maximum public grant of €17,500
- Up to €50,000 per fair for participation with a stand of over 50 m², with a maximum public grant of €25,000
Subsidized Expenses
Participation in trade fairs outside Greek territory, with the following eligible expenses:
- Participation cost and cost of listing/registration in the fair catalogue
- Travel and accommodation expenses for up to four (4) representatives of the business taking part in each trade fair, such as air tickets and
- local transfers to and from the fair venue
- Accommodation in the country where the fair takes place
- Stand rental, construction/fit-out costs and equipment hire (e.g. audiovisual equipment)
- Cost of shipping and returning the exhibits, including their insurance
- Fees of specialised external partners needed to manage/run the stand (e.g. interpreter, stand security, etc.)
- Cost of designing and translating brochure(s).
Expenses are eligible from the date of electronic submission of the funding application up to 30 months from the date of the decision approving the investment plans under the scheme.
