53,220 jobs are coming through DYPA programs by the end of the year

Six new job programs have been announced by the Public Employment Service (DYPA, formerly OAED) and will concern 53,220 unemployed by the end of the year.

Specifically, the first program concerns the grant of business initiatives of 3,220 freelancers aged 30-45 in the less developed Regions of the country and in the Region of Western Macedonia, with an emphasis on the digital economy. In addition, the action concerns 220 new businesses created by former unemployed people aged 30-45 in the Region of Western Macedonia. It is expected to be issued within October.

The second program concerns the acquisition of work experience for 10,000 unemployed young people aged 18 to 30 with at least compulsory education registered in the DYPA registers. The program will be released in October.

The third program concerns the creation of 10,000 new full-time jobs registered in the DYPA unemployment register aged 45 and over, in areas with very high unemployment. Expected in early November.

The fourth program concerns the employment of 10,000 unemployed people who face obstacles in their integration or reintegration into the labor market. The announcement of the program will be issued in November.

The fifth program is about subsidizing businesses to employ 5,000 unemployed people in the green economy sectors, with an emphasis on women aged 18-66. The program will be released in December.

And the sixth concerns the integrated program of skills upgrading – re-skilling and short-term employment for 15,000 unemployed (25-45 years old). The program is expected until Christmas.
