A number of important benefits can be secured by the unemployed through the activation and renewal of their unemployment card.

Benefits that, in several cases, are important and can ensure benefits and favorable arrangements for the unemployed. Specifically, in addition to the claim for unemployment benefit, of 360 euros, when the conditions are met, the unemployment card provides all unemployed, subsidized or not:

1) Scoring in public sector recruitment notices through ASEP

2) Beneficiaries of various benefits (e.g. heating allowance) through an application on TaxisNet

3) Potential beneficiaries of Social Solidarity Income

4) Access to employment, training and counseling programs

5) Enhanced scoring in community service programs

6) Participation in social tourism programs and children's camps,

7) Insurance through ELEKP – LAEK branch in the sickness branch in the form of IKA-ETAM (subject to conditions),

8) Participation in a voluntary insurance plan when close to retirement, in order to establish a right to a pension

9) Inclusion in the social tariff of PPC,

10) Reductions or Exemptions from the tax authority (ENFIA, etc.). A discount of 50% or 100% is granted to taxpayers who are financially unable to pay the total debt for the relevant year, or who have many children or are disabled (provided certain conditions defined by law are met)

11) Inclusion in favorable arrangements concerning loans (Katseli law), debts (to the public, municipalities, taxes),

12) Free travel on Public Transport (MTS),

13) Free municipal facilities (municipal swimming pools, municipal theaters, etc.),

14) Offers of private sector businesses (eg cinema tickets, theatres).
