What the certification is
Many ASEP (public sector recruitment) calls require computer skills in three subjects. They are proven with a certificate from a body certified by EOPPEP.
KEK KEPETH, in cooperation with UCERT — a personnel certification body accredited by ESYD under ISO/IEC 17024 and recognised by EOPPEP — prepares you and examines you for the Standard Office Usercertificate, in the three modules required by ASEP:
Word processing
documents, formatting, tables
Spreadsheets
calculations, formulas, charts
Internet services
browsing, searching, email
It gives 4 points. In the ASEP teacher rankings, certified computer skills in the 3 modules earn 4 points. In other calls they are a required qualification.

Frequently asked questions
Does it give points?
Yes. In the ASEP teacher rankings, certified computer skills in the 3 modules (word processing, spreadsheets, internet) give 4 points. In most other public sector calls they are a required qualification where the call asks for them: without it, the application is not accepted.
Does ASEP accept it?
Yes. ASEP accepts certificates from bodies certified by EOPPEP, and UCERT is on their list.
Who issues the certificate?
UCERT, a personnel certification body accredited by ESYD (ISO/IEC 17024) and recognised by EOPPEP. The certificate is called “Standard Office User” and is issued for 3 or 6 modules.
Is it the same as ECDL?
It is a certificate from a different body, with the same acceptance by ASEP.
Does it ever expire?
No, it has no expiry date.
What if I fail a module?
You resit the exam free of charge, as many times as needed.
