What is the ELEKP 1-49 programme (formerly LAEK 1-49)
It is the DYPA vocational training programme for employees of small businesses (1–49 staff). It is funded by the “Single Account for the Implementation of Social Policies” (ELEKP, formerly the LAEK Account), i.e. from the 0.06% employer contribution that is already withheld — at no cost to the employee or the business.
Programmes are submitted by employer representative bodies (associations, unions, chambers, professional associations) in cooperation with a certified Lifelong Learning Centre, such as KEK KEPETH. Around 120,000 employees benefit nationwide every year.
What the employee gains
- Training programme 40 hours in a subject chosen according to the needs of the sector (IT, sales and customer service, health and safety, foreign languages, etc.).
- Training allowance of €5 per hour — €200 for the full programme, as in the most recent cycles.
- Certificate of attendance from KEK KEPETH.
Eligible participants are employees with an employment contract in businesses of the sector represented by the body, as well as employees without a permanent employer, provided the ELEKP contribution is paid for them.
What the representative body gains
- It offers its members free training and an allowance, without red tape — KEK KEPETH handles the administration.
- A management fee per hour and per trainee, as set each time by the programme circular (in the most recent cycles, €3 for the employer body and €1.50 for a partner employee body).
How it works
- The body — or the employee themselves — contacts KEK KEPETH.
- Together we decide the subject, the group of trainees and the timing.
- KEK KEPETH prepares and submits the application file, delivers the training and completes the final payment.
Why KEK KEPETH
We have been delivering LAEK 1-25 and 1-49 programmes since 2001, with more than 50 bodies in Magnesia. On behalf of the body, we handle:
- monitoring calls for proposals,
- finding trainees and businesses,
- submitting the programme and updating the details after approval,
- the start-up, delivery and final payment procedures,
- the certificate of attendance for each participant and the final evaluation report.
Next cycle
