What the ELEKP 1-49 programme is
It is the vocational training programme of DYPA (the Public Employment Service) for employees of small businesses (1–49 people). It is funded by the “Single Account for the Implementation of Social Policies” (ELEKP, formerly the LAEK Account), i.e. from the 0.06% employer contribution that is already withheld — at no cost to the employee or the business.
Programmes are submitted by employer representative bodies (associations, unions, chambers, professional societies) in cooperation with a certified Lifelong Learning Centre such as KEK KEPETH.
What each side gains

The employee
- 40 hours of training in a subject chosen to meet the sector’s needs (IT, sales and customer service, health and safety, foreign languages, etc.)
- training allowance of €5 per hour — €200 for the full programme, as in recent rounds
- certificate of attendance from KEK KEPETH
The organisation
- free training and allowance for its members, with no paperwork — KEK KEPETH handles the administration
- management fee per hour and trainee, as set by the circular (in recent rounds €3 for the employers’ body and €1.5 for a partner employees’ body)
The company
- trained staff, at no cost
Who can take part: employees on an employment contract in businesses of the sector the organisation represents, as well as employees without a regular employer, provided the ELEKP contribution is paid for them.
