Voucher for Unemployed People aged 29 to 64 – RESULTS
Now announced: the new results from the reserve list for the Voucher programme aimed at 23.000 unemployed people aged 29 to 64 who will receive a training allowance 2.600€ The programme will include a framework with the following interventions:
- 120-hour theoretical training programme in various sectors and specialisations
- Counselling support aimed at:
- Choosing the training programme that beneficiaries will attend, based on their educational and professional profile, skills and interests.
- Matching beneficiaries' profiles with available work placement positions in partner businesses.
- Preparing unemployed people for the transition to the working environment of the work placement business and, more broadly, to the labour market and their integration / reintegration into it.
- Monitoring and supporting beneficiaries during their work placement.
- Converting beneficiaries' work placements into employment contracts, where possible.
- Certification of the knowledge and skills acquired through the training programmes.
- Work placement in private-sector businesses lasting 500 hours in total, not exceeding 5 months. Only for training programmes in agricultural-sector specialisations may the work placement also take place in businesses of the wider public sector. Total training per day may not exceed 8 hours. The daily duration of each programme's theoretical part is a maximum of 6 hours. The practical part may not exceed 6 hours per day. The programme is structured on two levels, based on the specific characteristics of unemployed people in this age group and of the labour market, in terms of:
- The education level of the unemployed: a) Unemployed people who have completed education from compulsory up to secondary level. b) Unemployed people who have completed either post-secondary programmes (IEK graduates) or tertiary education (AEI, TEI).
- The sectors with growth prospects, which are: Retail, Logistics, Infrastructure Projects and Technical Trades, Tourism, Information and Communication Technologies, Environment – Solid and Liquid Waste Management, Food – Beverages, Energy, Industry and Agriculture.
Beneficiaries will receive a training allowance, which includes the theoretical training allowance of: €600 (120 hours × €5/hour) (including statutory deductions) and the work placement allowance of: €2,000 (500 hours × €4/hour) (including statutory deductions)

The scheme is funded by the Operational Programme “Human Resources Development, Education & Lifelong Learning”, with resources from Greece and the European Union (European Social Fund).
The scheme provides 23,000 unemployed people aged 29-64 with continuing vocational training in sectors with growth prospects, counselling support and certification of the knowledge and skills acquired through the scheme.
