Program to support business plans of unemployed young people aged 18 to 29

  • Provision of business initiative advisory services to up to 5,000 unemployed young people aged 18-29, registered in the OAED registers.
  • Provision of coaching services for the maturation of their business ideas and the formulation of sustainable business plans to up to 3,000 (out of 5,000) unemployed young people aged 18-29, registered in the OAED registers.

Initially, up to 5,000 unemployed people in total will be selected from those who meet the criteria of Stage 2, based on the chronological order of submission of the application/declaration. Subsequently, from the (up to) 5,000 unemployed, up to 3,000 unemployed will be qualified for coaching, according to the criteria of Stage 5 of this Call.

After the completion of Stage 6 of the Call, i.e. the provision of coaching services, an Entrepreneurship Program will be announced for 2,500 young unemployed people aged 18-29, in which all unemployed people, including those who have completed the Business Plan Support Program of this Call. In particular, with a Public Call, the unemployed will be invited to submit an electronic application, accompanied by their business plan, on the platform of the State Aid Information System (PSKE).

The Applications will be evaluated by Comparative Evaluation, based on specific scoring criteria and the most complete and viable proposals will be selected. Emphasis will be given to women who will fill at least 60% of the program positions. The amount of the aid and the duration of the program will be 10,000 euros and 12 months or 17,000 euros and 18 months.

Target Audience

Unemployed persons aged 18-29, who submit an online application to participate in the Act.

Submission period

from 27/1/2020 to 28/2/2020 (until 23:59)

Applications are submitted from Monday, January 27, 2020 at 9 a.m. to Friday, February 28, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. on the OAED website www.oaed.gr.

Terms and conditions

Basic selection criteria for participation in consulting actions are, those interested:

  1. Have the status of unemployed, with an unemployment card in force at the date of application (they should maintain this status until the date of completion of the guidance action) and be out of the labor market, education or training.
  2. Have an Individual Action Plan.
  3. To be Greek citizens or citizens of another EU member state or to be expatriates who have the right to reside and work in our country or citizens of third countries who have a residence permit for the duration of the program and for at least 6 months after its completion, according to with Stage 7.
  4. Age: young people aged 18-29, who will have turned 18 by the deadline of this Invitation and who will not have turned 30 at the start of the coaching action (see Stage 6) of their age. The above (1, 2, 3, 4) will be drawn from the Unemployed Registers of the OAED Information System.
  5. To know the Greek language. For citizens of EU member states and for citizens of third countries, knowledge of the Greek language is required to a degree sufficient for the requirements of the program (e.g. consulting for undertaking business initiatives, coaching sessions, completing an electronic questionnaire), which is proven by a certificate of Greek language (Law 2413/1996, article 10, par.1) granted by the Greek Language Center: a) Ministry of Education - Andreas Papandreou 37, 151 80 Athens, tel. 210 3443384 and b) Karamouna 1, Pl. Skra, 551 32 Thessaloniki, tel. 2313 331540, at least level B.1. The Greek language certificate will be attached in electronic format (PDF file) to the unemployed's APPLICATION/RESPONSIBLE STATEMENT.
  6. To have (according to their declaration) the ability to use a PC and the ability to access the internet. The electronic selection system of up to 5,000 unemployed people who meet the conditions as detailed in Stages 1 and 2, is based on the chronological order of submission of the application-responsible declaration.

What is funded

  • Provision of Business Initiative Consulting services to up to 5,000 unemployed young people aged 18 to 29, registered in the OAED registers, through a 5-day new entrepreneurship seminar.
  • Provision of coaching services for the maturation of their business ideas and the formulation of sustainable business plans to up to 3,000 (out of 5,000) unemployed young people aged 18 to 29, registered in the OAED registers. Coaching will include 6 sessions (1 live, 5 remote).
