Digital Step

The new “Digital Step” Action aims at the digital upgrade of very small, small and medium-sized enterprises.

Action Budget

50 million euros for all regions of the country.

The Action is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and by national resources.

Beneficiaries of the Action

Existing micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, which before the date of online submission of the funding application:

have closed at least two (2) full financial years and keep category B or C accounting books up to 31.12.2017,
have at least one eligible activity KAD that is not included in Annex IV NON-ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES (KAD).

Investment Plans & Subsidy

Investment plans from 5,000 euros to 50,000 euros.

Subsidized 50% of eligible expenses.

Basic Conditions of Participation

Businesses should:

To show for the last three years, at least a positive result before taxes, interest and depreciation

When submitting the financing application, provide evidence of securing at least 60% of the private participation of the investment project

To operate legally by having the appropriate, in accordance with current legislation, operating license

To submit costs that have not been financed and have not been included in another program financed by national or Community funds

Not to be included as beneficiaries in decisions to withdraw previous actions concerning digital technology

To carry out one investment proposal per A.F.M., exclusively in a single Region

To submit an investment plan that concerns an eligible KAD.

Subsidized Expenses

Supply, transport, installation and operation, of new machines and other ICT equipment, necessary for the operation of the business and ensuring the services provided

Supply and configuration of software

Online store essential with features:
Ordering, storage and electronic payment software
Mobile responsive
At least 2 languages
Services related to:
data transfer or software configuration
development and/or certification of a digital security policy,
development of digital advertising material
digital advertising (google ads, facebook ads)
Internet connection
hosting (hosting, collocation)
Salary cost of employees (new staff).

Costs are eligible from the date of submission of the funding application.

Digital Business Ranking

Before submitting the investment plan, every business should fill in a questionnaire and record its current digital situation (ICT equipment of the last three years, software, digital services, other ICT elements).

Based on its digital status, it is automatically classified in one of the four (4) digital tiers that define the levels of digital maturity according to the detailed Invitation.

The investment plan should aim at the digital upgrade of the business by at least 1 level. Indicative:
